A game where you are a human character in a world full of humanoid animals. In this newer Animal Crossing game, you get to live and design your own deserted island. In the last game, you were a Mayor; this time, you are the owner. It still follows the same premise as other Animal Crossing games in that you can fish, catch bugs, dig up fossils, and plant and eat various fruits. This time, cooking has been added too.
There are lots of plans to learn for crafting new items or foods, as well as shop items to buy daily or clothes to buy. You can design the island by adding bridges, flattening or raising ground, making rivers, etc. Then you can add decorations and buildings too. As always, the player's home can be upgraded and customized as you see fit, and you'll have to pay off the loans to the raccoon Tom Nook again.
The museum now has art pieces to find and donate too. The game has seasonal events, and you can visit other players' islands if you have their friend code. Unfortunately, the shop can only be upgraded once and no more. This is a huge oversight; the store has always been upgraded multiple times in each Animal Crossing game and would then have more stock to browse daily. This one being only small is a bad decision. They have no plans to add that update or any other update, which is a huge shame and a big mistake.
Good points:

+House customising is a lot better
+Museum is much improved
+More clothing options and store items
+Nicer and clearer graphics
Bad points:
-Characters missing like booker, Penelope, Pete etc
-Buildings missing like the police station, Post office
-Can't upgrade the main store into bigger stores/department store!
-Cant upgrade clothing shop
-No minigame island! this should be included like the previous game since you already need to have a paying membership for online!
-Characters seem to say the same lines a lot unlike previous games where they had lots to say
-Characters are now only nice and there are no meaner animals unlike previous games
Grade: C-
I love animal crossing games so much and this is still a must play, but the lack of options listed above seriously kill the playing time of this game and they really should still add these small things, then it would be an A+ game easily.
