Similar to L4D but not quite as great
Publisher: Warner Bros. Games
Developer: Turtle Rock Studios
Also available on: PlayStation, PC
A game very similar to Left 4 Dead, mainly because some of the team behind that game also contributed to this one. Like Left 4 Dead, you participate in campaigns with a team of three other players, battling numerous zombie hordes while aiming to reach the final safehouse. There is a wide selection of weapons, even more than in L4D2.
You can choose from several characters, each able to bring perk cards into the campaigns. These perks can provide benefits such as extra ammo, quicker revives, the ability to carry more explosives, or increased firearm damage. There are many types of zombies to face, including special variants.
You can choose from a variety of unique characters, each with their own abilities and playstyles. You can utilize a card system that allows players to customize their abilities and perks, adding depth to gameplay strategies.
The Experience constantly evolves with an AI Director that adjusts the difficulty and enemy placements based on player performance. You can also modify and upgrade weapons with attachments and enhancements too.
There is a multiplayer co-op like the Left 4 Dead games, and also a versus mode, where players can take on the role of either Cleaners or the Ridden in a team-based format.
The multiplayer isn't as good as Left 4 Dead games though; the weapons feel and sound good, but it doesn't capture the same intensity as the previous games.
Good points:
+Similar to Left4Dead
+Lots of weapons
+Different types of infected
+Many levels
Bad points:
-Sometimes lag or bugs
-No campaign versus type of match
-Needs more enemy types
Grade: B+
Very good zombie multiplayer game that is very similar to the L4D series and well worth checking out
