World War 1 warfare awaits
Publisher: Electronic Arts
Developer: EA digital illusions CE
Also available on: PlayStation 4, PC
Set in World War 1, the game includes the usual Battlefield short stories for the campaign and multiplayer modes. The campaign ranges from being British SAS to the French resistance fighters, and to Africa and Italy. It is once again emotionally strong and based off of real events (such as Lawrence of Arabia sabotaging an armoured train). The multiplayer includes the usual modes such as Squad Conquest, Team Death Match and Operations (which is very large scale battles that stretch over multiple battles to determine the overall winner).
You can choose between assault, medic, support and sniper classes. On the map there can be battle kits such as flame thrower or anti tank or heavy gunner kits to pick up and use at will. There are a number of tanks and planes to choose from and also vehicles lying on the map such as armoured cars and bikes. There are also Behemoths that the losing team can gain towards the end of the battle to try and help turn the tide of battle. These are huge and heavily armoured vehicles like blimps, a super heavy tank and an armoured train. They take a lot of punishment and can also deal out a lot too. If they are used well and defended well they can even help the losing team re-take all the zones and then go on to win the match.
Good points:
+Excellent campaign mode
+One of the highest atmospheric Battlefields
+Multiplayer matches can be pure carnage
+Behemoths can turn the battle around and make for even higher destruction
+Still a lot of players playing the game as of today
Bad points:
-Additional maps would haven been great
-Sometimes it puts you in a match by yourself rather than joining one in progress
Grade: A+
Amazing and best Battlefield atmosphere, and each multiplayer match feels different. A must play.
Most fun Behemoth?
The Char 2c super heavy tank
The Blimp
The Armoured Train
The Dreadnought
