WW2 intense multiplayer battles return
Publisher: Electronic Arts
Developer: DICE
Also available on: PlayStation 4, PC
This next instalment of the series is set back in the second world war. it has a campaign mode and multiplayer. The campaign has the usual Battlefield short story cinematic experience and is well worth the playthrough, especially with the last mission; called The Last Tiger, controlling an elite German tiger tank crew as Berlin is invaded.
The multiplayer has the usual standard modes such as squad modes (capturing zones) and team deathmatch. Outpost, which is building/upgrading and defending radio towers, and Grand Operations which is large scale matches over several matches, basically the Operations mode from Battlefield 1. There is a co-op mode called Combined Arms for 4 players, but that has always been empty whenever it tried over the years! There is also a Battle Royale mode called Firestorm.
There are no Behemoths due to fans annoyingly complaining about them in the first game. You can choose soldiers from Assault, Medic, Support, and Sniper, and can customise each solider of each faction (British, American, German, Japanese) with different cosmetics and face paints. There are multiple vehicles to choose from like tanks and jeeps/bikes. There are also many planes for air combat. Once you collect enough points during combat you can call in support such as air strikes or supply drops or special heavy tanks.
Good points:
+Variety of large maps
+Another good atmospheric and emotional campaign mode
+A lot of vehicles and weapons to customise
Bad points:
-Some more maps such as Normandy would have been great additions
-Behemoths should have been included again to create more chaos towards the end of matches
Grade: B+
Great WW2 battles but loses points due to no Behemoths included.
