Explore the vast expanse of The Wild West
Publisher: Take-Two Interactive, Rockstar Games
Developer: Rockstar Games
Also available on: Xbox, PC
A massive game set in the Wild West during the late 1800s, a prequel to the first Red Dead Redemption game. This time you star as Arthur Morgan, part of Dutch's crew. John Marston from the first game is also part of the crew and is also playable later.
This game is incredibly large, making it hard to cover everything here. However, you can engage in a variety of activities such as fishing, hunting, completing main and side missions, undertaking smaller quests, experiencing random encounters, exploring freely, and playing games like blackjack or poker. Additionally, you can shop for items like food, clothing, guns, or drinks.
There are a lot of missions and quests to do. The camps are upgradeable somewhat too, from donating animal skins or purchasing some camp items from the ledger. The graphics are still amazing to this day even though it has no PS5 upgrade or Series X upgrade. You can choose to be a more good Arthur or a more bad one; some dialogue and scenes will play out differently depending on your honour.
You can choose to rob people or their homes, or even rob stagecoaches and trains. The difficulty can't be changed and there is no survival mode or a new game plus. There is multiplayer though, and you can free roam in multiplayer too. There is first and third person views; the first person is more realistic but you can't see the clothing or Arthur's reactions. I still prefer first person though for the realism. The game is definitely worth the purchase, and is an improved and better game than the first Red Dead Redemption game.
Good points:
+Better graphics than the first and still quite amazing too
+Excellent voice acting with many thousands of lines
+Many different NPCs
+Varied quests and missions
+A lot of realistic things such as camp mates commenting on your recent crimes or weight gain etc
Bad points:
-Police knowing you committed a crime even if no police nearby is annoying
-Robbing a train in disguise makes you wanted anyway where they know its Arthur somehow
Grade: A+
One of the best games out there, so much detail and care went into it and it has to be played to experience it for yourself.
Have you tried this game?

No
