Is it a bird? a plane? or is it failure?

The game is based on the TV show Superman: The animated series and is essentially flying through rings on a time limit. The supposedly open world (Metropolis) is not as big as the game box description made it seem. It also has huge distance fog everywhere because of the poor draw distance and hardware limitation. They hilariously stated it was because of Lex Luthor's fog machine hiding the city in Kryptonite fog!

Besides flying through rings, Superman can punch or use his frost breath, X-ray or heat vision, and super strength by lifting and throwing cars. There are ring levels and maze levels but trying to complete them is made more difficult thanks to bugs and non responsive controls, clipping, bad AI and frame rate drops. The graphics are terrible and the distance fog doesn't help matters.

There are 2 multiplayer modes but who can find any friends to stick around to play it with? This game made a former friend actually go home really early rather than stay the day and play it with me. The two multiplayer modes are racing and battle mode. Flying for the very first time was kind of fun as was using his super powers since I hadn't played as superman before. But there is actually no more fun to be found after that or any replay-ability whatsoever.

Superman 64

Good points:

+Flying for the first time and using powers was fun very briefly

Bad points:

-Unfinished

-Terrible graphics

-Stiff unresponsive controls

-Bad AI

-Distance fog everywhere

-Bugs

-Clipping

-Repetitive

-Difficulty seems to change during gameplay

-Bad sound

Grade: F

One of the worst games of all time, avoid it even for laughs as there's none to be found here, there is only pain.
