Multiplayer Fallout: With a larger World

Publisher: Bethesda Game Studios

Developer: Bethesda Softworks

Also available on: PlayStation 4, PC

This game had many bad user reviews at the start. People complained about lack of quests; other players attacking you constantly, players dropping nukes on your base every play through, players stealing items from your base and that it didn't look, sound or feel like Fallout.

Those people were wrong, This looks and feels exactly like Fallout. Even the music is the same. The world is much bigger than Fallout 4, and it looks a lot better too. There is a lot of quests, main missions and side missions. I found the quests a lot more fun than on Fallout 4. There are a lot of human NPCS added after the Wastelanders update. Nukes aren't easy to set off either, and you have to do many missions to even get the chance to send your first one and nobody really ever sends a nuke to your base(you could simply log out or switch camp to avoid it if it ever happened) Other players don't really grief you either, and they can't harm you at all unless you return fire first. If 'Pacifist mode' is on then you can't even return fire.

The camp option is a really good feature. You can set up your own base nearly anywhere on the huge map then just build it the way you want, from rusty shacks to brick multi storey buildings. Then you can place decorations and defensive structures like turrets to guard it from enemy or hostile players. You can sell items such as weapons, armour, consumables, plans and junk items in vending machines inside your camp for visiting players to browse and buy too.

There are daily repeatable quests which earn you exp and scrip, a currency used to trade for legendary weapons and armour and set challenges for atoms, used for buying cosmetics or camp items. The Battle Royale mode called Nuclear Winter has now been removed. All in all it has a lot of content for Fallout fans or new fans alike.

Good points:

+Larger map than Fallout 4

+Camp system

+Pacifist mode

+Varied quests

+Free and constant updates

Bad points:

-Still haven't fixed minor bugs like rain effects playing inside camp buildings

-Being unable to remove some bigger obstacles when trying to place a camp (Trees etc)

-Needs bigger camp build space

-Building needs improving, far too many 'unable to place item' errors

Grade: A-

Quite addicting with all the new items being added and the updates. Definitely try this if you're a Fallout fan.
