Date: Sunday, April 20th
Venue: Las Vegas, Nevada, USA
Company: WWE
Match Card Results:
WWE Women's World Championship (triple-threat):
Iyo Sky (c) vs. Rhea Ripley vs. Bianca Belair
The opening match was amazing, with far too many good moments to mention here, but the crowd was wild for this, and all three did an amazing job, especially Iyo Sky. There were a lot of high spots, including a top rope triple suplex. The ending came after Bianca hit her finisher on Rhea, and Iyo landed her moonsault on both of them to win and retain the title.
Noticeable moment: The hair whip was so loud, ouch.
Winner: Iyo Sky
Grade: A+
This was fantastic. Didn't expect it to be this good and entertaining, very glad Iyo won too!
Sin City Street Fight:
Damian Priest vs. Drew McIntyre
The match was decent, lots of weapons involved. some painful hits too by the looks of it. Drew put Damian through tables including two on the outside by pushing him from the top rope. the ending came after drew did his claymore finisher to Damian's head between a chair in the corner for the win.
Noticeable moment: The finisher and the top rope push through tables, also Drew taking a selfie and tweeting mid match!
Winner: Drew McIntyre
Grade: B+
Was still entertaining and the finish was good, but this would have been better if a title was on the line.
Intercontinental Championship (fatal four-way):
Bron Breakker (c) vs. Dominik Mysterio vs. Penta vs. Finn Bálor
There were a lot of fast-paced moves here from all competitors. Bron hit his spear on Carlito from the Spanish announce table to the other and put him through it. The crowd was rooting more for Dominik here, and the finish came after Finn hit his finisher on Bron, but Dominik hit a frog splash on both to secure the win and become the new Intercontinental Champion!
Noticeable moment: Spear through the table and Dominik's win!
Winner: Dominik Mysterio
Grade: A
Very nice fast paced match and didn't go on for longer than it should, unexpected winner too and will be good for future storylines.
Singles Match:
Randy Orton Vs Joe Hendry
The TNA Champion arrived to face Randy Orton, the match was short and more for comedic value and to give randy his 20th WrestleMania appearance. the finish happened when randy hit the RKO after Joe turned around and posed.
Noticeable moment: Randy helped Joe celebrate to the crowd before hitting him with another RKO then his own pose
Winner: Randy Orton
Grade: D+
This was just to fill for randy for his 20th WrestleMania but maybe they should have had a good proper match instead.
Singles Match:
AJ Styles vs. Logan Paul
A classic type of match with two very talented individuals. Both guys had cuts on them, AJ with a bloody ear too. Karrion Kross appeared and tried to get AJ to use brass knuckles on Logan, but AJ refused and threw them away, then hit him. AJ then went to use his finisher on Logan and missed. Logan then did his Paulverizer on AJ to win the match.
Noticeable moment: Logan using a drone to record the match. And executing his finisher perfectly.
Winner: Logan Paul
Grade: B
The crowd wasn't into this, but I like both these guys, and I liked this classic style of match. I think Logan winning was the right move too.
Women's Tag Team Championship:
Liv Morgan & Raquel Rodriguez (c) vs. Becky Lynch & Lyra Valkyria
This was a standard match that could have been on Raw or SmackDown. Becky Lynch made her return, replacing an injured Bayley. The ending came due to Becky hitting her finisher on Liv to win the match and the tag championships!
Noticeable moment: All the feathers being in the ring from Lyra's outfit
Winner: Lyra Valkyria and Becky Lynch
Grade: C-
This wasn't very good and it felt rushed. But the payoff should be good for future storytelling
Undisputed WWE Championship:
Cody Rhodes (c) vs. John Cena
John Cena did more wrestling moves here than usual, including a tornado DDT from the turnbuckle. Cena dominated most of the match. It had a more old-school theme to this match. Travis Scott came down and pulled the ref out of the ring before Cody dealt with him. Cena then ended up hitting Cody with the title before pinning him to win the championship.
Noticeable moment: Cena winning the title
Winner: John Cena
Grade: B-
This was okay, Cena winning was interesting and I think the correct decision. Wasn't as good as Night 1's main event, and where is The Rock, etc.?
Highlights:
+Title switches were correct decisions
+The entrances were good
+Moonsault WrestleMania
+Stone Cold made an appearance and crashed his quad bike
Lowlights:
-Matches were not as good as Night 1
-Main Event was a let down
-No Rock?
Grade: B
Was still entertaining, but these matches should have been night 1 instead.
What did you think of night 2?
It was awesome!
It was bad!
Meh
Boring
